Industrial - Accelerometer, Advanced Vibration Meter 2, 10' Lead

Industrial-grade (NEMA-rated enclosure). 10' lead. The Wireless Advanced Vibration Meter uses an accelerometer to measure vibration and frequency on 3 axes.

Industrial - Accelerometer, Advanced Vibration Meter 2, 10' Lead, UpKeep Edge wireless sensor

Overview

The Wireless Advanced Vibration Meter uses an accelerometer to measure vibration and frequency on 3 axes. The sensor reports vibration (acceleration, velocity, displacement, or acceleration peak), frequency (Hz/RPM), and crest factor on all three axes. It also reports duty cycle (how much of the report interval that vibration was present), and temperature.

How They Work

  1. The sensor measures accelerometers & vibration data using its integrated sensing element at configurable intervals.
  2. Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway via the 900 MHz protocol, with Encrypt-RF security.
  3. UpKeep Edge processes incoming data in real time, comparing readings against user-defined alert thresholds.
  4. When thresholds are breached, instant notifications are sent via text, email, or phone call to designated team members.
  5. All data is logged for historical trending, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance analysis.

Applications

  • Motor vibration analysis
  • Bearing wear detection
  • Pump cavitation alerting
  • Structural health monitoring

Questions about this sensor

What does the Industrial - Accelerometer, Advanced Vibration Meter 2, 10' Lead measure?
The Wireless Advanced Vibration Meter uses an accelerometer to measure vibration and frequency on 3 axes. The sensor reports vibration (acceleration, velocity, displacement, or acceleration peak), frequency (Hz/RPM), and crest factor on all three axes. It also reports duty cycle (how much of the report interval that vibration was present), and temperature.
Where is the Industrial - Accelerometer, Advanced Vibration Meter 2, 10' Lead typically installed?
Common placements include motor vibration analysis, bearing wear detection, pump cavitation alerting. It uses a NEMA-rated industrial enclosure, so it holds up to wash-down, outdoor, and high-vibration locations.
What does it need to work?
An UpKeep Edge gateway within about 1,200 ft. One gateway supports 50 or more sensors, and readings reach UpKeep over the gateway's cellular, Ethernet, or Modbus connection.
What happens when a reading is out of range?
UpKeep opens a work order against the asset and notifies the assigned technician. You set the thresholds for each accelerometers & vibration meter individually.
