Overview
Wireless humidity sensors allow you to monitor the relative humidity of the air within a room or enclosure. Ideal for monitoring humidity within greenhouses, industrial spaces, museums, saunas and humidors. They can also be used for residential applications such as controlling mold, mildew or dust mites.
How They Work
- The sensor measures humidity data using its integrated sensing element at configurable intervals.
- Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway via the 900 MHz protocol, with Encrypt-RF security.
- UpKeep Edge processes incoming data in real time, comparing readings against user-defined alert thresholds.
- When thresholds are breached, instant notifications are sent via text, email, or phone call to designated team members.
- All data is logged for historical trending, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance analysis.
Applications
- Climate control monitoring
- Corrosion prevention
- Storage condition tracking
- Clean room compliance

Questions about this sensor
- What does the Industrial - Humidity Sensor measure?
- Wireless humidity sensors allow you to monitor the relative humidity of the air within a room or enclosure. Ideal for monitoring humidity within greenhouses, industrial spaces, museums, saunas and humidors. They can also be used for residential applications such as controlling mold, mildew or dust mites.
- Where is the Industrial - Humidity Sensor typically installed?
- Common placements include climate control monitoring, corrosion prevention, storage condition tracking. It uses a NEMA-rated industrial enclosure, so it holds up to wash-down, outdoor, and high-vibration locations.
- What does it need to work?
- An UpKeep Edge gateway within about 1,200 ft. One gateway supports 50 or more sensors, and readings reach UpKeep over the gateway's cellular, Ethernet, or Modbus connection.
- What happens when a reading is out of range?
- UpKeep opens a work order against the asset and notifies the assigned technician. You set the thresholds for each humidity sensor individually.
