Overview
Wireless temperature sensors use a thermistor to accurately measure temperatures. These sensors are perfect for monitoring ambient temperatures around the sensors physical location. User customization allows you to set the frequency of readings and the ability to set thresholds for alerts via SMS text and/or email.
How They Work
- The sensor measures temperature data using its integrated sensing element at configurable intervals.
- Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway via the 900 MHz protocol, with Encrypt-RF security.
- UpKeep Edge processes incoming data in real time, comparing readings against user-defined alert thresholds.
- When thresholds are breached, instant notifications are sent via text, email, or phone call to designated team members.
- All data is logged for historical trending, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance analysis.
Applications
- Cold chain monitoring
- HVAC validation
- Equipment temperature tracking
- Ambient environment monitoring

Questions about this sensor
- What does the Enterprise - Temperature Sensor, 3' Lead measure?
- Wireless temperature sensors use a thermistor to accurately measure temperatures. These sensors are perfect for monitoring ambient temperatures around the sensors physical location. User customization allows you to set the frequency of readings and the ability to set thresholds for alerts via SMS text and/or email.
- Where is the Enterprise - Temperature Sensor, 3' Lead typically installed?
- Common placements include cold chain monitoring, hvac validation, equipment temperature tracking. It uses an AA-battery enclosure, which trades a little size for the longest battery life in the range.
- What does it need to work?
- An UpKeep Edge gateway within about 1,200 ft. One gateway supports 50 or more sensors, and readings reach UpKeep over the gateway's cellular, Ethernet, or Modbus connection.
- What happens when a reading is out of range?
- UpKeep opens a work order against the asset and notifies the assigned technician. You set the thresholds for each temperature sensor individually.
