Overview
Wireless AC Current Meters and Industrial Wireless Three-Phase Current Meters continuously measure the alternating current root mean square (AC RMS) using current transformers that clip around the wires in single-phase and three-phase power systems.
How They Work
- A split-core current transformer clamps around the conductor to measure AC current non-invasively.
- Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway via the 900 MHz protocol, with Encrypt-RF security.
- UpKeep Edge processes incoming data in real time, comparing readings against user-defined alert thresholds.
- When thresholds are breached, instant notifications are sent via text, email, or phone call to designated team members.
- All data is logged for historical trending, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance analysis.
Applications
- Industrial motor monitoring
- Phase balance verification
- Power quality tracking
- Heavy equipment analysis

Questions about this sensor
- What does the Industrial - Three-Phase Current Meter, 150 AMP, Detachable Leads measure?
- Wireless AC Current Meters and Industrial Wireless Three-Phase Current Meters continuously measure the alternating current root mean square (AC RMS) using current transformers that clip around the wires in single-phase and three-phase power systems.
- Where is the Industrial - Three-Phase Current Meter, 150 AMP, Detachable Leads typically installed?
- Common placements include industrial motor monitoring, phase balance verification, power quality tracking. It uses a NEMA-rated industrial enclosure, so it holds up to wash-down, outdoor, and high-vibration locations.
- What does it need to work?
- An UpKeep Edge gateway within about 1,200 ft. One gateway supports 50 or more sensors, and readings reach UpKeep over the gateway's cellular, Ethernet, or Modbus connection.
- What happens when a reading is out of range?
- UpKeep opens a work order against the asset and notifies the assigned technician. You set the thresholds for each three-phase current meter individually.
