What's New in UpKeep Studio: Four Powerful Apps and a Partner Program Built for the Maintenance Industry

Maintenance teams have always been asked to do more with less — fewer technicians, tighter budgets, and aging assets that don't come with a warning label. UpKeep Studio was built to change that. And today, it's getting a major upgrade.

We're excited to announce four new purpose-built apps now live in the UpKeep Studio App Store, alongside the official launch of the UpKeep Studio Partner Program — a new way for software companies, system integrators, and consultants to build and distribute apps for the 400,000+ maintenance professionals who rely on UpKeep every day.

Four New Apps to Transform How Your Team Works

These aren't generic tools retrofitted for maintenance. Each of the four new Studio apps was designed specifically for the challenges maintenance and reliability teams face — from predicting failures before they happen, to understanding where technician time is actually going.

Reliability Risk Index

One of the hardest questions in maintenance is: which asset is most likely to fail next? The Reliability Risk Index answers it. This app surfaces at-risk assets using a composite score built from downtime history, PM compliance, work order volume, and open work orders — giving your team a clear, prioritized view of where to focus.

Instead of reacting to breakdowns after the fact, you can intervene early, before a minor issue becomes a costly failure. For reliability-focused teams, this kind of visibility isn't a nice-to-have — it's the difference between a planned repair and an unplanned shutdown.

Bulk Work Order Builder

If your team manages high volumes of recurring work orders across multiple assets, you know the pain of repetitive data entry. The Bulk Work Order Builder eliminates it. Create work orders across multiple assets in a single step, cutting hours of administrative work and reducing the risk of missed assets during routine work order creation.

It's a simple concept with a meaningful impact — freeing up technicians and coordinators to focus on the work itself, not the paperwork around it.

Asset Downtime Tracker

Asset health data is often scattered — downtime logs in one place, open work orders in another, PM schedules somewhere else. The Asset Downtime Tracker brings it all together in one consolidated view, so your team can see the full picture of any asset's health without hunting across multiple screens.

Log downtime instantly, sync in real time with UpKeep, and start spotting patterns before small issues grow into big ones. For teams responsible for critical assets, this kind of centralized visibility makes a measurable difference.

Workforce Time Insights

Managers often have a rough sense of how their teams are performing — but rarely a precise one. Workforce Time Insights changes that by tracking total hours, hours per technician, work order volume, completion rates, and overdue work in a single dashboard view.

Whether you're assessing team capacity, rebalancing workloads, or identifying bottlenecks that are slowing your operation down, this app gives you the data to make confident decisions about technician assignments and scheduling.

All four apps are available now. Open UpKeep Studio from your account dashboard to explore them.

Introducing the UpKeep Studio Partner Program

The new apps are just one part of the Studio story. The bigger opportunity — for the maintenance industry as a whole — is what happens when outside expertise meets the UpKeep platform.

That's the idea behind the UpKeep Studio Partner Program.

Maintenance is a $700 billion industry. Most of it still runs on spreadsheets, siloed systems, and manual processes. UpKeep customers manage millions of work orders, assets, and parts every month — and they need better tools for compliance tracking, advanced analytics, workforce scheduling, safety documentation, inventory optimization, and much more.

The Partner Program is designed to let the companies best positioned to solve those problems actually build the solutions — and put them in front of the right audience.

Two Ways to Partner

Build Partners are software companies and independent developers who want to create apps and list them on the Studio Marketplace. You get access to the Studio App Builder (which lets you create apps without writing code), full UpKeep API access for deeper integrations, developer documentation and support, and marketplace distribution to UpKeep's global customer base — including companies like Caterpillar, Chevron, Shell, Unilever, and Yamaha. An annual partner fee applies, though it's currently waived for early partners helping seed the marketplace.

Certified Partners are consultants and system integrators who build custom apps for specific clients. In addition to everything Build Partners receive, Certified Partners can develop tailored apps for individual customers, co-market with UpKeep, and access priority support and onboarding. This tier is designed for teams with deep expertise in maintenance, reliability, or operations who want to package that expertise into repeatable, deployable tools.

Who Should Apply?

If you're a software vendor whose product complements CMMS data, Studio lets you embed it where maintenance teams already work — without building a standalone integration from scratch. If you're a system integrator who builds for industrial clients, Studio gives you a platform to package your workflows as apps deployable across accounts. And if you're a consultant with deep knowledge in reliability, safety, or compliance, Studio turns that expertise into tools teams can use every day.

The path from application to published app is straightforward: apply with your company details and what you'd like to build, get access to Studio and the API, build and test your app, then submit for review. Once approved, your app goes live in the Studio Marketplace and is available to UpKeep customers worldwide.

The Maintenance Industry Deserves Better Tools

UpKeep Studio is still early, and that's precisely the point. The maintenance teams managing critical infrastructure — factories, facilities, fleets — deserve software that's as specialized as their work. The four new apps launching today are a step in that direction. The Partner Program is how we get the rest of the way there, together.
