UpKeep Donates to Maintenance Needs in our Communities

Though UpKeep is a global company, our headquarters are based in Los Angeles, California. As fall approaches and the forests begin to get dryer in California, we are all too familiar with the devastating effects that wildfires can have. Last night, the Saddleridge Fire broke out in Sylmar, CA and has spread quickly, destroying many homes in its path. Many of our customers and employees live nearby and have been affected. Today, we're proud to support the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Station 91 who are working hard to stop this wildfire in its tracks.

The LAFD's Adopt-A-Fire-Station Program allows you to donate to all 106 L.A. fire stations as a whole and to specific units. LAFD's website says, "Working in 24-hour shifts, stations are not only a workplace but also members’ second home." These stations are too susceptible to natural disasters such as wildfires. We want to thank the first-responders - firefighters, police people, and medics - who bravely take danger head on during natural disasters such as this.

Furthermore, there is another group of first-responders that we want to give a special shoutout. To the LA Department of Transportation (LADOT) who typically precede even the firefighters, police people, and medics - thank you. You are the unsung heroes of this all. You not only keep the roads open and safe during evacuations, but you also enable other first-responder groups to do their jobs. So, from the entire UpKeep team, thank you.
