Here at UpKeep, we love our customers! So much so that one of our core company values is even Customers Over Revenue. We’re truly passionate about serving the underserved, deskless workforce. But recently, we started thinking of more ways we could show our appreciation for our customers.

We’re happy to announce the launch of a new, recurring celebration of our users called Customer of the Month! Each month, we’ll select one of our UpKeep customers to feature and to do something above and beyond for them.

Our Customer of the Month for January is…JAFCO!

Who Is JAFCO?

Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Operations (JAFCO) offers childcare, adoption, and foster care for abused, developmentally disabled, and at-risk children in the Jewish community. They also offer life skills training for both children and their families.

Since JAFCO has a public wish list with needed items, the UpKeep team decided to present JAFCO with a giant check for $600, so some of those wish list items can be checked off!

JAFCO is an organization that truly embraced UpKeep to help manage their day-to-day operations, and those operations are for the benefit of kids. It seemed like an obvious choice to select JAFCO as our first Customer of the Month. The work they do each day through UpKeep is a testament to their commitment to the community and the young ones and their families who they help each day.

JAFCO and UpKeep

When Michael Moran, venue manager for JAFCO’s facilities department, was asked to take over facilities management, the maintenance situation was inefficient and unorganized. It involved printed work orders and poor communication systems. Also, confidence in the technician team was low and technicians themselves were unmotivated.

Moran had experience with UpKeep from a previous job with a restaurant group. When he joined the JAFCO team, he knew a system like UpKeep would be extremely beneficial for them. After taking a look at the other options out there, Moran was able to convince management to try UpKeep. It was well-received among technicians, and the maintenance situation drastically improved.

Moran loves the mobility that the UpKeep app has to offer. So even if he’s away from work, he’s able to create a work order with ease from the comfort of his own home. The JAFCO team is also heavily utilizing the vendor module in order to reduce the amount of time spent locating vendors’ contact information. Team members have also been able to record who their preferred vendors are in the app.

UpKeep Loves Our Customers!

It’s important for us to have a customer-first culture at UpKeep. We couldn’t do what we do without them, and we’re excited for the future of our Customer of the Month celebration. Stay tuned for next month’s customer!
