We’re so excited to welcome David to the team this week! David is joining us as our Mid-Market Account Executive, and we couldn’t be more stoked to have him on board! Here is our interview with him!
We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family today, David! Tell us a little about yourself!
I’m excited to be part of the UpKeep family! I was born in Ohio and moved around a lot when I was younger while my dad was in the Navy. I lived in Arizona since I was 6, minus one year. I am married to my wonderful wife, Brooke, and we recently had our first child - a beautiful daughter we named Brynn. We also have 2 pups - a 1-year-old red toy poodle named Mika, and a 9-year-old white maltipoo named Toonces.
How did you first get into Sales?
I was always good at sales contests back when I worked in the food-service/hospitality industry. After 12+ years in that industry, I decided I wanted to do something different. I knew someone at GoDaddy who got me a job there doing phone sales. I struggled majorly at first, but eventually hit my stride and haven’t looked back!
Why are you excited to join UpKeep?
The future is what excites me. Startups can have their tough times, but tough times don’t last, tough people do. UpKeep obviously had a solid track record already from the research I did, and I immediately became excited about helping UpKeep continue to grow, expand, and dominate the CMMS world!
What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?
From day 1, I could feel the energy, excitement, and enthusiasm of the team - which is saying something because we are all remote! Everyone is excited about being here, what UpKeep is doing, what we have done, and where we are going! It’s cool to not only see the culture but feel it in all the meetings we do virtually.
David, you mentioned how you absolutely love sports - if you were to only watch one sport for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Football, for sure. It’s always been my favorite sport, I like college and pro, I play in a lot of fantasy football leagues, and it’s definitely the one sport I’d choose over any other.
Finally, and most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?
I would be a coffee maker. I drink coffee daily. Especially with a 5-month-old, it helps get me through all the sleepless nights and keep me going during the day!
4,000+ COMPANIES RELY ON ASSET OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Your asset and equipment data doesn't belong in a silo. UpKeep makes it simple to see where everything stands, all in one place. That means less guesswork and more time to focus on what matters.
