Welcoming Chelsea Cho to the UpKeep family as a Project Coordinator with our Operations team!!

We are beyond excited to have a new member on our Operations team - Chelsea!! Chelsea recently graduated from UC Irvine and has accumulated a lot of great customer experience through the years. We're looking forward to seeing the new energy she brings to our customer commitment, and we can't wait to get to know her better!

We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family today, Chelsea! Tell us a little about yourself.

First off, I’m so thankful to be a part of the UpKeep family, and am looking forward to working alongside amazing individuals to fulfill our company’s amazing mission! My name is Chelsea Cho, a fresh graduate from UC Irvine, just navigating through this new season as a post-grad and trying to get this adulting thing down. On my free time, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, trying new places to eat/drink, and spending time with my family, friends, and 7-month old doggo Billie!

What made you want to get into Operations?

I love that there is never a dull moment in Operations, and that at the core of this department is a deep sense of care for others!

Why are you excited to join UpKeep?

The whole team, product, mission, self-growth, everything!

What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?

I love that there is a strong balance of working hard, while having fun and building meaningful relationships with colleagues.

We have to know - what were some of the best parts of your Japan trips? What makes you want to keep going back and even potentially move there?

Some of the best parts of my trip to Japan were the little moments - buying a dank bottle of milk tea for 100 yen from a vending machine at a train station, walking over a sidewalk covered in cherry blossom petals in the Spring, waking up at 2AM with my friends to go to eat sushi omakase at Toyosu Market. I actually want to live there potentially as a long-term, bi-vocational missionary! But, that’s another story.

And finally, perhaps most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?

This IS the most important question! I would be chopsticks - seemingly ordinary, but holds a lot of surprises.
