It’s been a while since our last major API update so we are very excited to share some of the improvements we’ve made to our platform in the past month.
We’ve added the ability to manage custom downtime statuses for your assets.
Why this is important?
Before, this could only be configured in the settings of the application. Now, you can list, add, update, and delete these programmatically with these new endpoints.
We’ve added the ability to manage custom fields for the Assets, Parts, Locations, and Purchase Orders APIs.
Why this is important?
This is super useful for integrations between systems if you have custom data you want to associate with your UpKeep data like external IDs.
We’ve added the ability to manage your Webhooks with the Webhooks API.
Why this is important?
Before, this could only be configured in the settings of the application as well. Now, you can build seamless integrations without manual interaction with the UI when using our Webhooks feature. Learn more about Webhooks here.
We've also made enhancements to some of our existing APIs. You can now assign a parent location to a locations and assign a part to an asset.
Why this is important?
We're continuing to make these enhancements to our existing endpoints to provide similar functionalities as our web and mobile applications.
All of these changes can be found on our documentation site. We’ve added a few informational sections including a changelog so everyone can easily keep track of the latest and greatest changes we make to our platform.
