Nova Marketplace is live. Browse curated Nova apps, preview them, and install free in one click — managed by UpKeep and running on your data in seconds.
Nova lets anyone describe an app in plain language and have it built inside UpKeep — a custom dashboard, a reorder tracker, a mobile inspection tool. That’s powerful, but it starts with a blank page, and a blank page always asks the same hard question: okay, but what do I build?
Nova Marketplace is the answer. It’s a curated catalog of working Nova apps, right inside UpKeep, built from the best of what we’ve seen created over the past two months. Browse what’s there, preview an app before committing to it, and install the ones you want with a click — they’re running against your own data seconds later.
Nova Marketplace is where UpKeep customers find, preview, and install ready-made Nova apps, so nobody has to start from a blank page. Every app in the catalog is published and maintained by UpKeep, and the collection spans the whole platform — core maintenance, Edge condition monitoring, and EHS safety — so it’s also the first place you can see everything Nova can do in one view.
Installing is free on every plan, instant, and unlimited. Uninstalling is just as easy — and because Marketplace apps run on top of your existing UpKeep data rather than storing their own, removing one costs you nothing. No commitment, no cleanup, no reason not to try one. The fastest way to find out whether an app is useful is simply to install it.
There are two ways to get an app from the Marketplace, and the difference matters.
Install gives you a managed version of the app. UpKeep maintains it — you use it as built, and fixes and improvements arrive automatically, without you lifting a finger. You can’t change an installed app, and that’s the point: you never own the maintenance of software you didn’t write.
Clone gives you your own copy. Once you’ve cloned an app, it’s yours — you configure and customize it exactly the way you would any app you built in Nova yourself. Cloning is the on-ramp to building: changing one thing about an app that already works is a much smaller step than opening a blank prompt.
So the path is simple: browse, preview, install, and try it. If the app does what you need, you’re done — UpKeep keeps it running. If it’s close but not quite right, clone it and make it yours.
The blank page is the adoption ceiling for AI app building. Customers who already know what they want to build love Nova; everyone else stalls at “what could I build?” A catalog of real, working apps turns that question into “that one looks like my problem” — the shortest path from curiosity to a live app.
Installing is also a smaller ask than building. It’s instant, free, reversible, and unlimited, which lowers the bar for the maintenance manager who never wanted to be a builder in the first place. And for the ones who do want to build, cloning an app that already works is how a user becomes a builder — one small change at a time.
Open the Marketplace inside UpKeep on desktop and browse the catalog. Each app has a preview, so you can see what it actually does before installing — no “what am I committing to?” hesitation. When you find one you want, install it with one click and it’s live against your data immediately. Apps you install are available in the UpKeep mobile app too, so what you add at your desk is in your team’s pocket on the floor.
No. Marketplace apps are free, and the Marketplace is available on every UpKeep plan. There’s no limit on how many apps you can install.
Not the installed version — installing gives you a managed copy that UpKeep maintains, so you use it as built. If you want to change how an app works, clone it. A clone is your own copy, and you can configure and customize it however you like.
You get the updated version automatically. UpKeep manages every published app, so don’t expect sweeping changes — it’s bug fixes and net improvements, delivered without you doing anything.
Nothing is lost. Marketplace apps work on top of your existing UpKeep data rather than storing their own, so uninstalling one doesn’t take anything with it.
A template is a starting point you have to finish. A Marketplace app is finished — you install it and it works, and UpKeep keeps it working. Cloning is there for when you do want to take the wheel, but it’s the exception, not the price of entry.
The Marketplace itself is available on desktop only for now. The apps you install from it are available in the UpKeep mobile app.
For now, apps are published by UpKeep’s team only — a curated set, so everything in the catalog is something we stand behind and maintain.
Nova Marketplace is live now for all UpKeep customers. Open UpKeep on desktop, browse the catalog, and install the first app that looks like your problem — it’s free, it’s instant, and if it’s not for you, uninstalling costs nothing. Already have an idea nothing in the catalog covers? That’s what Nova is for: describe it, and build it.
