We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family, Oscar! Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m a Los Angeles native. I grew up a couple minutes away from Dodgers Stadium. Sports, cars, and music are huge parts of my life. I keep up with today’s pop culture pretty well, but I make jokes as if I were a 40 year old dad. I live with a smile on my face, even while sitting in LA traffic.

How did you first get into Sales?

My first job was at a retail store that sells sports apparel. I found myself enjoying the process of helping customers find what they were looking for and helping them make the decision of making the purchase.

Why are you excited to join UpKeep?

I’m excited to join UpKeep because everything is so customer focused. It feels great to work for a company that continues to refine its product to make sure customers are happy and getting the most out of what we provide.

What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?

The culture at UpKeep is amazing so far. The entire team has been welcoming, helpful, and it feels like everyone is all about the team. I feel right at home already.

We have to know - what do you love about racing your car at different racetracks around California?

The thing I love the most about racing is that getting faster lap times requires constant improvement. Even once you’ve achieved your best lap time, there are always sections of the track where you can drive faster to achieve a faster lap overall.

And finally, perhaps most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?

I would be a fork. I feel like forks are simple, but also useful and versatile.
