Welcoming Danial Hazarika to the UpKeep family as our new Head of Growth and Digital Marketing!!!

Our marketing team is growing!! We're glad to welcome Daniel Hazarika to our marketing ranks, based out of our San Francisco office. Danial will be working closely with our SVP of Marketing, Marcel Santilli, to take our Growth and Digital Marketing capabilities TO THE MOON!

We’re so excited to have you at UpKeep, Danial! Tell us a little about yourself.

I’m a SF Bay Area native, born in Mountain View, CA. Lived in California my whole life, UCSD for college, LA for a bit and then back in SF. 

How did you first get into Marketing?

I randomly ended up at a Digital Marketing agency in SF for a few years after a brief stint working as an Actuary for Farmers Insurance in Downtown LA.

Why are you excited to join UpKeep?

I love companies like Upkeep that are formed by experiencing and identifying a real pain in the world and setting out with a clear mission to solve it. The culture focuses on delighting the customer and each other.

What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?

I’ve been at a few high growth startups and the people here are some of the brightest and kindest humans I’ve encountered in tech.

We have to know - what do you find so interesting about the science of sleep?

I promise I’m not lazy but I actually love to sleep. I’ve for a long while been researching how to get the best and most efficient sleep. Sleep is also one of the “simpler” things humans do but has a great deal of behind the scenes complexity. I like things like that.

And finally, perhaps most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?

I would be a fork - I like to be versatile.
