UpKeep and The Maintenance Community are proud to celebrate Maintenance Technician Week. Learn more about the week here!
This week, UpKeep and The Maintenance Community are proud to host Maintenance Technician Week and celebrate the unsung heroes who quietly support and sustain the world. Especially during these challenging times, we are so incredibly thankful for the resilient and courageous men and women who are continuing to work from the frontlines to keep our society safe and our world moving. Although every day is a wonderful day to celebrate our maintenance heroes, this week gives us an extra reason to do so.
Here at UpKeep, one of our core values is Customers Over Revenue. This week, the team came together to brainstorm amazing ways we can bring that value to life and show up for our customers with our sincere gratitude and appreciation. Through that, we nominated a few of our many valued customers at UpKeep and sent delicious treats to their entire team. We’re incredibly lucky to work alongside such wonderful customers everyday, so we were extremely excited to do this small act of appreciation for them!
Here are a few photos of our UpKeep customers enjoying their goodies!

At The Maintenance Community, we began our Maintenance Technician Week festivities by celebrating International Women’s Day. Our first order of business was shining a spotlight on some of the AMAZING women who work across the maintenance and reliability industry. It was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the innovative and powerful contributions of women in the industry and encourage more women to be inspired to join the industry!
Then, throughout the rest of the week, we featured many, many more incredible men and women globally by celebrating their personal journeys and accomplishments in the maintenance and reliability world. In the spirit of Maintenance Technician Week, our community members also shared a moment to spread gratitude and appreciation for others who have impacted their maintenance journey and thanked them for their contributions.
As a way to celebrate our community members for their dedication to sharing maintenance knowledge and advice, we organized our very first Community Champions Awards and Community Expert of the Month Awards! We applaud them for their engagement and commend them for their contributions to the community. Here are a few of the winners!
Goes to Bob Latino as voted by the entire Maintenance Community for his outstanding contributions. Thank you for everything, Bob!
Goes to Hesham Elmahdy, Ayman Khallaf, Donguimatasa Dugard, Raees Malik, Odih Duke for joining the most Community Webinars in 2021.
Goes to Michael Meehan, Phillip Noah, Andrew Ohlinger for answering the most of their fellow community members’ questions.
Goes to George Williams for giving inspiring advice, presentations, and speeches.
Goes to Rob Kalwarosky for challenging the status quo and transforming the maintenance landscape.
Finally, to give back to the community and longevity of the industry further, we organized an internal campaign to raise money for Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs, a manufacturing camp for young adults. We’re proud to support their efforts to guide young people in discovering their interest in manufacturing and to encourage the pursuit of a manufacturing career.
Thank you to the people of maintenance for their relentless work to keep our society safe and our world moving. We're honored to celebrate you this week, and every week!
