Actualización de UpKeep: Tarifas por hora de los técnicos

Today, we are thrilled to announce the launch of hourly technician rates!

Admins will now be able to customize hourly rates for users and vendors to increase consistency and accuracy around labor costs. Technicians will have more time restored back in their days and will no longer have to manually input their hourly rates in work orders. These changes will increase productivity and precision within your maintenance organization. 

Who can access hourly rates

UpKeep admins on Starter, Professional, or Business Plus accounts will be able to set hourly rates for technicians or vendors on the people and teams page. Only admins will be able to view, edit, and make changes to the hourly rates field. 

Technicians and vendors can add time spent on work orders. When they add itemized time to work orders, the hourly rate is added to the work order, based on the rate set by UpKeep admins. 

The new hourly rates feature unlocks productivity for maintenance teams. Technicians can get more done and focus less on administrative tasks, while UpKeep admins can ensure consistency and confidentiality around payments. 

Previously, technicians had to manually enter in hourly rates on individual work orders. Now, all a technician needs to do is use the timer on the work order, which will automatically log the hourly rate when it is stopped. 

In the future, we plan to add the ability for users to add multiple categories of rates per user.
