Meet Our Teammate!

We are excited to chat with Patrick Thom, our Emerging Market Account Executive! In such little time, Patrick has surpassed major strides in his role to grow the company, as well as improve the operations experience for maintenance teams everywhere. Without fail, Patrick brings tons of energy and enthusiasm to the team, and it's evident that Patrick is dedicated to the community he serves. We are so lucky to have Patrick here on the team! Here is his interview with our CEO, Ryan!

Ryan: What's up, Patrick! Could you start us off by sharing what your role is at UpKeep, and some of your responsibilities?

Patrick: My role at UpKeep is to help companies who are looking to improve their maintenance operations evaluate what UpKeep could do for them!

Ryan: How did you find out about UpKeep? And, what made you want to join the team? 

Patrick: I knew about UpKeep from working at a previous maintenance software company. I had left the CMMS industry when I moved to North Carolina with my wife, then I got laid off during the pandemic. I reached out to UpKeep because I did some research on which companies had the greatest presence in the industry, and I saw that UpKeep was hiring so I applied! 

Ryan: Currently, what’s a project you’ve been working on that you’re really proud of? Or, maybe a project you’ve already completed that you still think about?

Patrick: Because I’m on our Account Executive team, I consistently get to work with companies trying to make significant changes in their operations. 

One of my recent customers has identified they are going to save over $200,000 per year, so it feels great to be able to work with them. 

One other company we just brought into the UpKeep family told me that they have to take work home right now because their processes are so inefficient. So because of using UpKeep, they are going to be able to spend more time with their families. 

Ryan: What’s something you love about UpKeep?

Patrick: Something I love about UpKeep is the heart behind the company. Truly, from the work that we do with the Maintenance Community, to the way we treat our employees (caring for mental and physical health during the pandemic), to the way we consistently make decisions that prioritize customers over revenue that ultimately benefit our business in the long run, I just think this company shares the same heart I have for business, and it feels great to work for such a company.
