Welcoming Will Rommelfanger to the UpKeep family as our newest Sales Development Representative (SDR)!

We're so excited to welcome Will Rommelfanger to UpKeep!! Will joins our SDR team from a supply chain logistics company, an industry parallel to ours! He has already been on the phones with potential customers here at UpKeep - now, it's onward and upward!!

We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family, Will! Tell us a little about yourself.

Hi! My name is Will Rommelfanger and I am excited to be joining UpKeep. I am originally from Nebraska but have been out in California for almost 7 months and am thoroughly enjoying it so far. My favorite activities include hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. I am a pretty big college sports fan, and prefer college sports over professional sports, but love all of the opportunities to attend sporting events out here.   

How did you first get into Sales?

My first sales job was with a 3rd-Party Logistics company, selling transportation services. I like sales because it gives you the opportunity to foster relationships with people in all sorts of industries and stages of their careers.

Why are you excited to join UpKeep?

I am excited to join UpKeep because of the product itself! My last sales role was pretty tedious and stressful, and we didn’t always put the customer first. In my brief understanding of UpKeep so far, the team is obsessed with bringing the absolute best product to our customers and making sure that they have all of the tools to help run their maintenance teams as best as they can. 

What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?

The team at UpKeep could not be more welcoming and excited to have myself and the other new employees onboard. At my last job, it was frowned upon to be gone for lunch any longer than about 20 minutes. On the first day, having an hour-long “Lunch and Learn” was something that I had never experienced before and was a great way to get to know my co-workers better.  

We have to know - what are the best hikes you have found around LA?

Some of my favorites so far have been the “Bridge to Nowhere” hike in the San Gabriel Mountains and the Mount Zion Loop. Both were challenging and had some amazing viewpoints!

And finally, perhaps most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?

I would be a refrigerator! I like to think I have a pretty easy-going personality and am good at “keeping it cool”.
