We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family today, Jack! Tell us a little about yourself!
I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended Indiana University, where I majored in Informatics and Computing. After college, I worked for Cummins Inc. as an IT Production Support Manager for a little under three years. I then decided the traditional desk job and Excel work wasn’t for me, and took a risk and moved out to Colorado to take a Sales role.
How did you first get into Sales?
About ten months ago, I took my first sales job as an outside sales Account Executive selling water filtration systems. Not really the best time to start your first sales gig going door to door cold calling businesses that are not even open.
Why are you excited to join UpKeep?
I think it is a fantastic opportunity and it's a great product that will only continue to get better. I strongly believe in the direction of the company and think I am joining the team at the perfect time.
What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?
Everyone is so outgoing and also welcoming! It has been really refreshing so far with all of the interactions I’ve had, and am excited to meet even more new people here at Upkeep.
Jack, we have to know - what is the story behind being a competitive FIFA player?
I have played in many regional qualifier events for FIFA Ultimate team, most recently last year for the Midwest. I have also finished the top 200 in the world twice in this year’s FIFA game!
Finally, and most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?
If I was a kitchen utensil, I would be a spoon. It is the most versatile utensil at the dinner table!
