Welcoming Ben On to the UpKeep family as a Technical Support Representative (TSR)!!

We're so glad to have Ben On joining us this week as our third TSR this week! Our TSRs are the dedicated people on our team who spend their days helping customers with any questions and through any problems - big or small - that they may have. Ben, we're thrilled you're here!!

We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family, Ben! Tell us a little about yourself.

I was born and raised in Monterey Park, CA. Huge Lakers and NBA fan. I love watching TV shows, particularly sci-fi. Went to school at UCSB and double majored in Psychology and Sociology. Originally, I wanted to work with kids, but decided that wasn’t really for me.  

How did you first get into Customer Success?

I do enjoy educating and teaching people. I think that helping others grow helps you grow personally as well. I just get that moment of personal satisfaction when I am able to help something make sense or pass on a nugget of information to someone who can use it. In turn, I can see how what worked and how to improve upon that, so I might be able to pass it onto a larger audience next time.

Why are you excited to join UpKeep?

I’m excited to join UpKeep because of the potential it has to grow in this sector and industry. The values of the company really resonate with me. As I’ve mentioned, I love helping others grow so it’s exciting to be here and to contribute however I can!

What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?

Everyone has been so welcoming and nice. The energy and optimism is incredibly infectious. I can also tell everyone is also extremely intelligent so I look forward to learning from you all as well! 

We have to know - what is your favorite TV show? Movie? Podcast?

The Avatar: The Last Airbender was one of my favorite shows! Favorite movie franchise would be Back to the Future. My favorite podcast is the Bill Simmons podcast, since he talks about NBA basketball a lot!

And finally, most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?

If I were a kitchen utensil, I’d be a spork. I try to be as multifunctional as possible and have many uses!
