We’re so excited to welcome Seth to the team this week! Seth is joining us as our Account Executive, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board! Here is our interview with him!
We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family today, Seth! Tell us a little about yourself!
I hail from the lovely lands of Cedar Hills, Utah. Being able to work from home has allowed me to enjoy spending more time with my family; my wife Anna, and we have two boys, Kenneth who is 7 and Peter has just turned 3 months. When the weather permits we like to go camping, fishing, and sometimes horseback riding.
How did you first get into Sales?
When I was 18 years old, I worked at Six Flags in St. Louis as a caricature artist. We were paid hourly, but also on commission, so I was greatly incentivized to pull in as many people to draw as possible. It was one of the greatest jobs I ever had!
Why are you excited to join UpKeep?
I always look forward to taking on new challenges ,and currently,I think there is a lot of movement within the CMMS industry. I’m excited to see where Upkeep will go in the coming years, and I’m glad to be along for the ride.
What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?
Everyone has been extremely kind and down to earth. It’s been fun getting to know all of you.
Seth, you mentioned how you are working on a comic book story! Can you give us a little sneak peek at what the story is about?
Sure! If any of you are into a good manga, imagine, if you will, a man is searching for his long lost family! The day his first child was born, Kento Ittogami’s wife mysteriously disappeared. In the days that followed, his son was kidnapped and he was wrongfully framed for treason. The story begins 4 years later in the midst of a jailbreak; it is time for Kento to set things right!
Finally, and most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?
I think of myself more as a toaster rather than a utensil. I like bread, and I like things hot.
