We’re so excited to welcome Jasmine to the team this week! Jasmine is joining us as our Account Manager, and we couldn’t be more ecstatic to have her on board! Here is our interview with her!

We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family today, Jasmine! Tell us a little about yourself!

My name is Jasmine, aka Jazzy J (a nickname that seemed to have carried over from my time at ZipRecruiter). I’m so excited to be onboarding with the Account Management/Expansion team. Currently, I live in West LA, just two blocks away from the UpKeep office, which I hope to be able to visit one day. I’m a proud puppy mommy of an 8-month-old Cavapoo (Cavalier and Poodle) named Scout.

How did you first get into Sales?

When I was working for Live Nation Entertainment, one of my VPs of Sales asked, “Jaz, have you ever thought about getting into sales?” and I responded with “Not really, but I wouldn’t be closed-minded to it.” With his kind of words of “Well, I think you would kick butt in it”, I took that and ran with it. So, here I am today!

Why are you excited to join UpKeep?

What excites me the most about joining UpKeep are the areas of potential within the company. From the product to the culture, to the community of who UpKeep serves, I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of a team that truly cares and caters to all three.

What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?

From the start of my interview all the way to the onboarding process, I have been truly impressed with the culture. The team has been so welcoming that it actually feels like being part of not only a team but a family.

Jasmine, we have to know - what is the story behind starting a glamping business?

As we all know, COVID-19 has really thrown a wrench in our everyday lives. “To the Moon and Back” (my glamping business), gives people the ability to escape the feeling of being locked up at home, but most importantly, to enjoy the outdoors again in a whole new experience with a focus on nature conservation and preservation. My glamping idea first came about when I was in Costa Rica, specifically Monteverde. Monteverde is Earth’s little gem where you can submerge yourself in the country’s culture. My biggest takeaway from this trip was the country’s motto, Pura Vida, which means pure living. I was so moved by the initiative that I wanted nothing more but to pay it forward to others and generations to come so they understand the importance of taking care of our planet.

Finally, and most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?

Cappuccino maker because I like to wake things up in a way that is productive, lively, and bold.

Welcome, Jasmine!
