AA - Accelerometer, G-Force Max & Avg

AA battery-powered (enterprise). The Wireless Accelerometer - G-Force Max/Avg sensor measures the maximum and average g-force values along X, Y and Z axes. A heartbeat can be set to determine how long the sensor w.

Overview

The Wireless Accelerometer - G-Force Max/Avg sensor measures the maximum and average g-force values along X, Y and Z axes. A heartbeat can be set to determine how long the sensor will accumulate data for before reporting in. Custom Delta values allow for the user to set thresholds which, when exceeded, will trigger the sensor to report in immediately. Configurable data rates allow for more samples to be collected for every measurement with higher data rates resulting in faster reaction time. The data reported is useful for tracking periodic motion and event detection. There are six operating modes, 2 G, 4 G, or 8G each with an additional mode which employ a High Pass Filter. The data displayed is the g-force on each axis, e.g. –> X: 0.001 Y: 0.031 Z: 1.01. A Re-arm time can be configured such that the sensor will not trigger too quickly after being triggered once.

How They Work

  1. The sensor measures accelerometers & vibration data using its integrated sensing element at configurable intervals.
  2. Readings are transmitted wirelessly via the protocol to the UpKeep Edge gateway with Encrypt-RF security.
  3. UpKeep Edge processes incoming data in real time, comparing readings against user-defined alert thresholds.
  4. When thresholds are breached, instant notifications are sent via text, email, or phone call to designated team members.
  5. All data is logged for historical trending, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance analysis.
