AA - Resistance Sensor, 3' Lead

AA battery-powered (enterprise). 3' lead. The Wireless Resistance Sensor reads the resistance across any resistive load and reports back the measured resistance.

Overview

The Wireless Resistance Sensor reads the resistance across any resistive load and reports back the measured resistance. The resistance sensor leads are meant to connect to passive devices only, connecting the sensor leads to any voltage or power source that may damage the sensor. It is programmed to sleep for a user-given time interval (heartbeat) and then wake up, convert the analog data, mathematically compute the resistance, and transmit the data to the gateway, where it is then logged into the cloud service. The user can configure defined thresholds and have the system alert on threshold breaches.

How They Work

  1. The sensor reads resistance across a resistive load up to 250K Ohms via its external leads.
  2. Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway at configurable intervals.
  3. UpKeep Edge processes the data and triggers alerts when resistance values fall outside specified ranges.
  4. Historical data is stored for trend analysis and predictive maintenance.
