Serial Modbus Gateways

Serial Modbus Gateway

The Serial MODBUS Gateway acts as a data concentrator for wireless sensor networks. This device incorporates Access Point Node (APN) and Serial RS-232C and RS-485 Interfacing hardware.

Overview

The Serial MODBUS Gateway acts as a data concentrator for wireless sensor networks. This device incorporates Access Point Node (APN) and Serial RS-232C and RS-485 Interfacing hardware.

How It Works

  1. Wireless sensors transmit data via the 900 MHz wireless protocol to the gateway.
  2. The gateway aggregates data from up to 50+ connected sensors within range.
  3. Data is forwarded to the UpKeep Edge platform via RS-232C/RS-485 serial Modbus connection.
  4. UpKeep Edge processes data in real time, triggering alerts and logging history for trend analysis.

Key Features

  • Encrypt-RF (256-bit AES) secured wireless communication
  • 1,200+ ft. wireless range (non-line-of-sight)
  • Interfaces with RS-232C and RS-485 Modbus sensing and control infrastructure
  • Plug-and-play setup — deploy in minutes without specialized IT support
  • Supports up to 50+ wireless sensors per gateway
