Overview
Wireless water sensors alert you via SMS text and/or email when there is water detected, preventing potential property damage that results from flooding or leaks. Place this sensor anywhere flooding or faulty plumbing could cause a problem. This sensor can also be used to detect a lack of water, allowing you to know when a container is nearing empty.
How They Work
- The sensor measures water detection data using its integrated sensing element at configurable intervals.
- Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway via the 900 MHz protocol, with Encrypt-RF security.
- UpKeep Edge processes incoming data in real time, comparing readings against user-defined alert thresholds.
- When thresholds are breached, instant notifications are sent via text, email, or phone call to designated team members.
- All data is logged for historical trending, compliance reporting, and predictive maintenance analysis.
Applications
- Leak detection under equipment
- Basement flood alerts
- Server room protection
- HVAC drip pan monitoring

Questions about this sensor
- What does the CC - Water Detection Sensor, 3' Lead measure?
- Wireless water sensors alert you via SMS text and/or email when there is water detected, preventing potential property damage that results from flooding or leaks. Place this sensor anywhere flooding or faulty plumbing could cause a problem. This sensor can also be used to detect a lack of water, allowing you to know when a container is nearing empty.
- Where is the CC - Water Detection Sensor, 3' Lead typically installed?
- Common placements include leak detection under equipment, basement flood alerts, server room protection. It uses a compact coin-cell body, which fits tight spaces where a larger sensor will not mount.
- What does it need to work?
- An UpKeep Edge gateway within about 1,200 ft. One gateway supports 50 or more sensors, and readings reach UpKeep over the gateway's cellular, Ethernet, or Modbus connection.
- What happens when a reading is out of range?
- UpKeep opens a work order against the asset and notifies the assigned technician. You set the thresholds for each water detection sensor individually.
