Overview
The AC Voltage Detection Sensor notifies of the presence or absence of electricity. It is intended for use on devices using supply power from 24 - 500 VAC. Not intended for voltages higher than 500 VAC and also not intended for use with DC sources. Perfect for HVAC systems, sprinkler systems, sump pumps and any other type of electrical appliance monitoring. This sensor triggers on the state change from presence to absence of voltage and vice versa. The data is displayed as either "No Voltage" or "Voltage Detected".
How They Work
- The sensor measures DC or AC voltage at the connected terminals at configurable intervals.
- Readings are transmitted wirelessly to the UpKeep Edge gateway via the 900 MHz protocol.
- UpKeep Edge processes the data and triggers alerts when voltage levels exceed or drop below thresholds.
- Historical data is stored for equipment health monitoring, battery tracking, and power analysis.
Applications
- measuring battery voltage at specified intervals where
- sensor data will be wirelessly sent to i
- the online

- Car battery monitoring
- Boat and marine battery monitoring
- RV battery monitoring
- ATV/motorcycle battery monitoring

Questions about this sensor
- What does the CC - Voltage Detection, 500 VAC measure?
- The AC Voltage Detection Sensor notifies of the presence or absence of electricity.
- Where is the CC - Voltage Detection, 500 VAC typically installed?
- Common placements include measuring battery voltage at specified intervals where, sensor data will be wirelessly sent to i, the online. It uses a compact coin-cell body, which fits tight spaces where a larger sensor will not mount.
- What does it need to work?
- An UpKeep Edge gateway within about 1,200 ft. One gateway supports 50 or more sensors, and readings reach UpKeep over the gateway's cellular, Ethernet, or Modbus connection.
- What happens when a reading is out of range?
- UpKeep opens a work order against the asset and notifies the assigned technician. You set the thresholds for each voltage detection sensor individually.
