ALCO Harvesting sees clearer visibility through UpKeep

Prior to using UpKeep, ALCO Harvesting was stuck in a rut using older methods of asset management and requiring technicians to be in the office. Upon integrating UpKeep, work order requests became simpler and easier to use. Visibility on problems became clearer and ALCO has since saved a lot of time and money

Alco Harvesting is a leading harvesting company that employs state-of-the-art technology to maximize its operations. As an automation engineer, Amir Santiago is responsible for managing all automated machines and performing data analytics for the company.

Challenges

Due to Alco’s rapid growth, it became essential to have better management of the equipment. Amir was struggling to achieve this because of how archaic their system was and how nothing was streamlined. Alco needed a new way to manage all their assets and to make the picture clearer on the problems they were having.

Time for a change

To achieve better equipment management,, Amir integrated all the company's assets into UpKeep, which helped track all the ins and outs of jobs or work orders, whether in the field or in the office. This change helped all of his employees know exactly what kind of work they needed to do and when it needed to be done.

Upon implementing UpKeep, Amir's work on data analytics became more manageable. Collecting historical data was now easier, making it possible to track the amount of money spent on parts year by year and how many times equipment fails, providing a clear understanding of what's going on with his assets.

Solution

UpKeep has had a significant impact on ALCO Harvesting, giving the company more visibility on all the problems they had, which has opened a window for them to better understand what's going on with the equipment. It has made their life simpler, saving them time and money, and providing clear visibility of where they stand in terms of operations and maintenance.

Without UpKeep, Alco would have been stuck in their old ways, waiting days and sometimes weeks to get work orders fulfilled. This change in asset operations management started with Amir’s leadership and has seen a domino effect of success to follow.

Results

Overall, UpKeep has proved to be one of the best options for anyone who wants to modify or correct their process. It can save a lot of time and money while providing clear visibility of where they stand. Alco Harvesting is grateful for the impact UpKeep has had on their business and they would recommend it to any company looking to improve their asset and operation management.
