He works as a tribology consultant for numerous major companies and government entities. He has served on two research teams in Denmark studying lubrication and sampling practices for off-shore wind turbine components. Mr. Wurzbach holds five patents on his designs for lubricant sampling and analysis devices.

He authored the Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) report “Effective Grease Practices” and was a co-author of the EPRI Report, “Lube Oil PdM, Handling, and Quality Assurance Guideline”. He has presented and published over 70 scientific papers.
